The Boys Birthdays

Don't know what the grumpy face is all about...?
It's his party...he can cry if he wants to!?
Daylan & Spencer have birthdays just about a week apart so we decided to do a simple family birthday party at the condo pool. We had pizza & a doubled-up cookie cake that Tim informed Paradise Bakery how to make. Watch for it-..it might just become the newest, coolest thing. (Of course I didn't get a picture of it since I still have newborn/prego/spacey brain.)

We had a nice evening at the pool in this beautiful, unusual Arizona-June weather with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles & Cousins.

The Campbell Cafe

~So these last 2 weeks as I have learned to sit & walk again, my oldest three kiddos have been so very helpful! They have been keenly aware of the 6 inch gash across my middle & have been accommodating. They come running when I ring the cow bell...kidding...I mean call out their names. They have been eager to bring me diapers, wipes, drinks of water or whatever I might need. They've even crawled up on the counter a time or two to get my medicine when I just couldn't do it.

~This picture is of the lovely lunch they made me the other day: Cheetos & a 1/2 ripped ham sandwich. It was so cute to see Daylan & Kaylea on stools in the kitchen standing next to Spence as they spread the mayo & mustard on the bread, ripped the cheese, the bread & the meat. It was the cutest most thoughtful thing.

Basketball

*Spencer just finished up a quick 6 week season of basketball camp at the local High School. It was very good for him...high energy but
low pressure! Just how I like it.

This was very different than the team he was on last year where the coach & parents thought these kids were playing in the NBA.

Although while living in this condo we haven't had our basketball hoop, Spence has still been able to practice at the complex's community court with Kaylea, Daylan & other neighbor friends.

He has come a long way and really enjoys it now. We might start him up again after the baby comes.

34 weeks & counting...

The Countdown is on....
27 days to go!
(I get to cheat 2 weeks early)

~Yesterday I had another doctor's appointment marking me at 34 weeks. I gained another 8 pounds just this month!... & I know that I'm only getting bigger from here. Everything looks good but now is the time I have to be watched closely for 2 reasons; Signs of Preeclampsia & then of course Labor. Both things are pretty dangerous for me at this stage of the game.

~Last week I really OVER-DID it and  Thursday & Friday had lots of scary contractions. I figured they would go away eventually so I didn't stress. I went to the Temple on Thursday & didn't have ANY contractions the whole hour or so I was there. Of course right when we walked out, they started up again. I finally called the Dr.'s office Friday so I could get checked, but it was too late because all doctors were in surgery the rest of the day. So I was told on the phone to go to labor & delivery...uh.. Not doing that. So I just made myself lay down, put my feet up & made Tim help out(hard for me to do)

All is fine now. I'm just trying to get rest whenever I can & learn how to walk with this little BOY so
                                                       L
                                                            O
      Yes...I waddle.                                 W!

Easter Weekend

Our Easter Surprise was this:
My Sister & her family came last minute to AZ and surprised us for Easter Weekend. My kids were SO excited to see cousins Ethan & baby Carson walking! This was the first time my family has ALL been together since November of 2006.

1st Order of Business:
 *Coloring Eggs*
Spence quickly painted all of his green so he could focus on more important things like Sun Chips
~On Saturday we had our traditional Family BBQ at my parents. My Parents & Little Bros & Sis' set up an Egg Hunt for the grandkids. It was a beautiful day-first cold, rainy & windy in the morning but then was sunny & beautiful during the BBQ & egg hunt.~
Daylan starting off the Egg Hunt
Cousin Ethan scored!
Uncle Phylip helping Kaylea reach her Golden Egg.
Each child found their own special golden egg which had directions inside where they could find an Easter present from Grandma & Grandpa.
Then on Sunday.....
The Kids & their Easter Baskets Easter Morning
Headed to Church
Quick Picture before we went inside...of course we were running late & Tim was not too happy about me trying to get pics. Don't you love how the sun is totally blinding my poor children!

*After Church we went to my Parents for a Yummy Ham Easter Dinner. Then we headed to the Temple Grounds to get a Family Picture with the WHOLE gang. Britt's friend Jacque met us there to get some family photos because it had been 3 years since the last one that we took ALL together.
The Younger Handsome Boys
&
The Older Handsome Boys
Ladies...the 3 in the middle are still single :)
.....*More Family Pictures coming soon*....

*I'm sure many of you have by now seen Elder Holland's Conference Talk be put to Video on YouTube. LDS Living reported that it literally became the #1 video on YouTube (in the nonprofit category) over Easter weekend. How COOL is that? See?.. The power of good is still so STRONG and it just takes more effort on our part for it to become so.

Snow on the Desert Mountains!

Last week we enjoyed some beautiful rainy weather here in the valley. One day I awoke to take Spence to school & saw this site out my window:

It made me miss Flagstaff-at least for a second... I don't miss driving in the snow/ice but I DO MISS being able to look out my upstairs window and seeing the beautiful snow covered San Francisco Peaks. So this site here has motivated us to make the drive up soon to play in the snow before it all melts away.

Spencer's 1st Pinewood Derby!

*Saturday was a lot of fun as Spencer had his very 1st Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts! The race was very organized with an awesome track complete with computer system, and big screen for us to watch results on. I loved this cute race car driver board someone painted for the boys to stick their heads in.

*Tim & Spence came up with idea of making the car into a Humvee with Chewbaca sitting on top complete with gun. I helped Spence paint on the camouflage. I think it turned out pretty good considering this was our...I mean Spencer's;) 1st car.
Look closely and you can see Spencer's car winning 1st place in this race. Since the other races he got 2nd, 3rd & 4th place, this was his most exciting moment. I wish I could've got a picture of him right after this. He stood up, did a "double pump fist" with his arms saying "Yeah!"
After the races we had the award ceremony where he won "Most Unique Car." Then his 2nd favorite part of the day...Krispy Kreme doughnuts. (Just happened to be that we had also eat them for breakfast that morning at home & then he went to a party later that day with more Krispy Kremes..3 times in 1 day!)

CHRISTMAS DAY!

Just in case you missed the look on Daylan's face as he saw what Santa brought!.....................
He got the "Bastetball Ting" (thing) he wanted from the toy store.

And Spencer's reaction when he discovered that Santa brought him a Nintendo DS. He literally could not believe it. He kept saying "Are you kidding me, are you kidding me?"
Kaylea was stoked about her bike & that it had so many colors complete with a zebra seat cover!
