*Spencer is celebrating his 1st Book Report that he did so great on! Spencer is such a great reader but is always in such a hurry when he writes so we've been really working on his handwriting lately. He had a lot of pride in his book report as he spent a lot of time on it & he had awesome handwriting. We found out just recently that after some testing at school, Spencer tested into a 5th Grade reading level!!! He can even read many levels higher than that, but averages 5th grade. YEAH Spence! We are so proud of you.

i was trying to leave a comment for the 30 years post, but it seems to have disappeared or something. glad my mom's not the only girl who married a man with a mustache (sp?). haha! but what a great example to all of us, huh?
WOW! That is something to be proud of Audra! All that home schooling has sure paid off! You are a great mom!
Great job on the great book report and the handwriting improvement!! That's quite impressive for a 2nd grader to test into a 5th grade + level!!
I'm very curious about the home schooling - what did you use to teach, and for how long? (When do your kids start public school?) If you could give me insight, that would be great! I also home-teach my kids, as preschool costs mucho dinero, and am trying to figure out what I want them to do when it comes time for Kindergarten. I think they are doing good so far, but am always looking to further their learning. Seriously, let me know!
Spence your already a smarty pants!!!!
Audra,
Skyler and Spence really are two peas in a pod. Skyler is at that reading level too AND he has struggled with having nice hand writing, I mean it is readable, but he just writes fast and stuff, it isn't bad, just not great. Anyways, that is so funny, we really need to get these boys together!
