Some Conference Favorites:

These are words given to us in recent days from prophets of the Lord. How comforting these words really are in these nerve racking times. Here are a few quotes from my favorite talks:

*Pres. Uchtdorf~ "Never give in, never surrender, never allow despair to overcome your spirit." "We learn to cultivate hope just as we learn to walk-One step at a time."

He also shared a favorite scripture:"Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life."  {2 Nephi 31:20}

*Jeffrey R. Holland~ "The latter days are not a time to tremble, but a time to be believing!" 

"All within the sound of my voice...... take heart, be filled with faith, the Lord will fight our battles.... Search, Pray Always, Be Believing, Walk Uprightly, Remember our covenants..." "Angels are ALWAYS near us whether seen or not."* 

This scripture was also shared 2 or 3 times: {Another Favorite} "My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment; And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes."  {D&C 121:7-8} 

*L.Tom Perry~ "Emulate the 5 virgins who were prepared with spiritual fuel." 

*Elaine S. Dalton~ "In the strength of the Lord I can do all things." 

*I loved singing, "Come Ye Children of The Lord" {Hymn No. 58} - 

1. "Come, ye children of the Lord, Let us sing with one accord! 

Let us raise a joyful strain To our Lord who soon will reign On this earth when it shall be Cleansed from all iniquity, When all men from sin will cease, And will live in love and peace.

*Elder Corbridge~ "Life IS HARD but it is also SIMPLE!....not because WE are able but because HE is!"

*Joseph B. Wirthlin~ "Laugh when you want to cry."..

*Neil L. Andersen reminded us of Jesus' words, "Be not afraid, only believe." He also said: "You don't know everything, but YOU KNOW ENOUGH!" 

"Faith is not only a feeling, BUT IT IS A DECISION!" (a new favorite quote)

*President Thomas S. Monson: "Don't let things get in the way of what really matters."

"Don't let a problem become more important than a person!"

"There is NO tomorrow to remember if we don't do something today.
