They performed a couple songs and here
is a little blip of one of 'em. (Kay is in front row on left & Jett top row on right.)

♪ Spencer's Piano Recital ♪

~Spencer had his 1st Piano Recital tonight. He has been taking piano from my friend Jeni this school year and he has learned a lot. Spence was definitely ready for lessons and she did a great job teaching him. (He would have never listened and learned like that from his mom...) Spence memorized and performed these 2 songs: "Indian Song" and "Willie and Tillie". Good Job Spence! Here's a little diddy of the performance:

☆Dance Recital☆

Kaylea had her 1st Dance Recital last night and did a great job on their song:
"The Way You Do The Things You Do."

~She had a little stage fright the first 10 seconds or so and then got into it. It has been so funny to see this girl learn what and where her hips are and that she can shake them. It's the cutest and funniest thing you've ever seen! ~Kaylea's brothers Spence and Dude gave her these pretty flowers. It was so sweet to see her little proud face when the show was over...you know that "I'm trying not to smile too big face." Great Job Kay-Kay! We love you!

*Weekend Happenings

~Do you not just want to reach through the computer and grab one of these donuts?? If you say NO ...you're lying!!! This weekend we took the kids to the new Krispy Kreme store (Power/Superstition Springs Blvd.) and had a blast! The kids loved looking through the window and seeing THIS:

They were in Heaven ...and frankly tim and I were too! So 2 dozen donuts and ?? pounds later we wanted to share our excitement and love of Krispy Kremes!!

~This long Memorial Day weekend we celebrated by seeing Chronicles of Narnia (Prince Caspian) and had a Family BBQ. Good Times, Good Times.

The movie was good but what I enjoyed most was seeing how the author C.S. Lewis (of the Narnia Chronicles) uses symbolism in his writings of these stories. The forces of good, evil, having a Savior etc.

.
*As we're sitting waiting for the movie to start Spencer said to his Uncle Phylip...

"Awhh...This is the best day ever... a movie..., a Bar-be-que..."

Gosh that kid's cute!..I think I'll keep him.

Bu Bye 2nd Grade!

-First day of school-

(i feel like my "little boy" grew up this year)

Thursday I helped Spencer celebrate his last day of school in Ms. O's class. I have been able to come into his class most Thursdays for an hour or so to help out (thanks to "grandma day") and it was neat to come on his last day of school. As I visited his class, I often was able to witness Spencer being a good example to the other kids. His teacher said she was very blessed to have him in her class this year. I'm just glad Spence still thinks it's cool to have his silly ol' Mom at school. And I actually am very excited to have him home all summer!!

This part of the class photo shows him and his buddy Marc surrounded by all girls which is very fitting. I also thought it was so funny that my lil' Spence was the only boy in the first row. Oh well, he's just following the tradition of his parents always being on that smaller people row.

**CONGRATULATIONS BUD FOR GRADUATING THE 2ND GRADE!!**

*American Idol Winner..

~Can I just tell you how much I loved these 2 Davids? Seriously wouldn't you want to be their friend in real life? You can just tell that they both (other than being extremely talented), are very kind & humble people. I have to say I kinda wanted Archuleta to win since he's our Mormon homeboy..hehe... but I was NOT disappointed when Cook won! Both are awesome and I love their voices and personalities.

*Site Meter

*So anyone who doesn't have sitemeter, or a similiar site, on their blog should. It is different than just a typical page view counter. **It actually will locate the computer that has visited your site, time of day they were on & for how long, as well as count the number of visits & page views. Another cool thing you can do is click on where it says "who's on" and see who is actually on your blog right then. I just have the basic Free account, but should probably get the premium one.
**Click on the above link to go to site meter or just scroll down to where it says visits on the right and click on the number.

*Happy 5th Birthday Sophie!

Happy Birthday to Princess Sophie!
Is she not so adorable? (I just had to steal these great pictures from Tracey's blog.) Miss Sophie is the baby of the Simas family and is too cute. She is always dolled up so cute and has the sweetest smile. Sophie is a helpful little thing, full of life & giggles. You can't help but smile when you see her.

It seems like just yesterday she was running around naked playing in her backyard. Sophie is *all girl* & we love her for it.
This coming year she begins Kindergarten as do 3 of her cousins on the McCleve side... (kaylea, jett & ava.)

Gosh these kids are growing up too fast!!

*Family Home Evening Lesson

*Daylan teaches his 1st Family Home Evening Lesson on Honesty

He was so proud as he helped Mommy teach the lesson about a girl named Lizzy who hit the baseball in her neighbor (Mr. Robinson's) window and told the truth to him. & then a story about a girl named Natalie who told a lie to her Mom about wearing her lipstick. We learned that even little white lies ARE lies...something we are working on at our house!

*Favorite Time of the Week

*Daylan's favorite time of the week:  His Toddler Sports Class

......and here's a good reason why!!
(he's in the middle)

~We just call it "Basketball class" since that's what he loves the best about it. He kicks soccer goals, does bounce passes, runs the cones, makes baskets, hits T ball home runs & best of all gets to go on mat rides like these:)

*Happy Birthday Grandpa Ron!

*Today is "Grandpa Ron's", Tim's Dad's Birthday! He is such a fun Grandpa to the kids as he spoils them with candy, presents but most importantly with love!

*The kids run to him like he is Santa Clause because they know he is genuinely glad to see them. He will let the kids do flips off his legs, jump on his back and will even buy them Icees if it IS 10:00 in the morning!:)

*Here is a video clip of him (back in '06) telling the kids that he's taking them to Disney World at that moment... (seriously we were already secretly packed and got right in the car to go to the airport.)
We are glad to have him in our lives and are always wishing the best for him.

*Salt Lake Temple Wedding

*My cousin Brandon was married Tuesday in the Salt Lake Temple to his new wifey Marcy. They are so adorable together and from what I've seen compliment each other well. I was able to sneak up to SLC & attend their wedding. They were lucky enough to have my friend Jen be their photographer. I can't wait to see those photos! Here's just a few that I snapped while there. *CONGRATS* to them!!
*So I decided that this year must be Marriage Year!* I've had 5 cousins married/sealed recently & have even more announcements in my kitchen for the last of my friends getting married this summer!

*Morning View

This was the view I saw out my window when I first woke up yesterday morning. Quiz Time: Where was I???...and why was I there?

*Kindergarten Shots

~Last week Kaylea was such a brave little toaster! She was actually excited for the day to go get her Kindergarten shots so that her & the boys could go get ice cream afterwards. That distraction worked until about 2 minutes before "the shots." Kaylea's audience was: Dude, Jett & Spence.

"Dad" came so that Kaylea could squeeze his "hurt fingers". Supposedly that helps her pain to give him pain...

She got 4 shots including the yucky MMR.. Now that this is done with ...Kaylea just has to count down the days till Kindergarten begins!!

& don't feel too bad...20 minutes later she was having the time of her life on the McDonalds playground! And with Tylenol she never even had a fever.

Happy Birthday Jason!

~I love this picture of sweet little Elsie poopin on her Daddy during a photo shoot! Just thought I'd do a quick Happy Birthday shout-out to my brother n' law Jason. He is a proud dad of 3 little girls and husband to Tiffany. Jason has a kind heart, is very genuine and is often thinking of others. He in fact was the 1st one in Tim's family that I remember welcoming me with open arms & making me feel comfortable..and he wasn't even IN the family yet! Happy Cinco De Mayo Birthday Jason! You are loved by many!

*Condolences to the Bluth Family

*This weekend we heard the awful news about Justin Bluth, an old friend and neighbor of Tim's. I know many of you have heard this sad news already but wanted to place the story out there that I have gathered from family and friends for any who haven't.

*Justin, a devoted husband & father of 4 young boys was found early Friday morning. He had reportedly come over to his parents home to borrow camping gear so he could take his boys on their Father & Sons Campout the next day. Justin had worked on his parents computer with his father and then once his parents went to bed, he must have fallen asleep. His wife Nichole called over there in the midmorning hours saying he had never come home. Justin's parents immediately began searching for him and soon his Mother found him fully clothed in their backyard pool. He had sleepwalking issues & this was evident as his keys and wallet had been placed there on a table next to the pool. After diving in, which should have woken him up, they suspect he had a head injury causing him to drown. An unusually heartbreaking story.

*We happen to be renting Justin & Nichole's home from them right now, making it all the more heartbreaking. As I walk through this house and see things of JUSTIN'S that are still here, such as their exercise equipment that I can't even look at..my heart hurts so much for them. SO SAD for their family. I'm sure they are all extremely devastated & our hearts break for each of them. How unfair I just keep thinking...and then I am reminded that God is over all. He is omnipotent and all knowing. I know the family is receiving much comfort as I witnessed today.

*This morning I visited my parents Stake Conference because my Dad was going to be speaking. I walked up to the doors and looked inside to find my family. I can't even began to describe the feelings I felt as I walked into the chapel and was seated. I felt like I was actually attending the funeral. The spirit was SO STRONG and as I looked around the room I saw that EVERYONE else was feeling it too. There was hardly a dry eye and just pure silence other than the organ playing. Moments later the meeting began and President Lothaire Bluth, Justin's Dad, stood up to conduct the meeting. -He is currently Stake President in the Val Vista Stake.- President Bluth was somber but strong. I then looked to my right and there was the Bluth family. My tears were flowing and I realized that the spirit was so strong because the Angels surrounding this family were also there in attendance!
