IT'S A.......

BABY!
(although hard to see features in this picture)
~Ok we are sitting there for the long while it takes for the Ultrasound Tech to do all the vital measurements of the heart, the other organs, the brain etc. Finally after what felt like an eternity she started giggling. A similar response to what another technician did when we looked at spencer & daylan. She was literally laughing as she said.."Do you see that?" I was suddenly embarrassed for my immodest child, or shall I say SON! Let's just say all my boys have been anxious to show off their manhood while in utero.
~So after the initial shock & denial of it all, slowly came the acceptance and within minutes utter joy! As I lay there, I thought about Heavenly Father and his plan...oh does he have a plan. Oftentimes I've thought I had my whole life figured out and he has taught me a better way-HIS way. I became teary as I realized this little boy was coming to OUR house at THIS time for a REASON. I got goosebumps as I once again was humbled. I really thought it was a sister for Kaylea. Actually I should say I hoped it was for Kaylea's sake. I never had any real feelings per say unlike pregnancies past.
~I began to get to know my little guy as I watched him move around my belly. His hands close against his face, his little legs kicking. We feel blessed to have this precious spirit join our family in May.
~Tonight we waited patiently for Dad (Tim) to get home from his meeting so we could make the announcement. Just a bit ago after dinner we scooped up bowls of ice cream. We told them if they had pink sprinkles on their ice cream it was a girl & purple sprinkles would be a boy. They ran in the room when they heard the music playing and saw the PURPLE sprinkles! Spence was stoked & Daylan was singing.."Oh yeah I won...it's a boy." (He told us he had a dream you know. About a month or two ago he said "Mom the baby is a boy. It was in my dream. His name is Max.")
~We kinda laughed it off but now we're wondering if he knew something we didn't! Kaylea is trying hard right now to hold back tears but hopefully by morning she'll be okay. I think she was in shock as we all were, but she is trying to be tough. Okay wait her eyes are officially teary- I better go!

I told the kids the same thing--hope for Kaylea's sake that it's a girl---but that I think it is a boy.

Hey Kaylea, that mean that you still are the princess and you will have 3 brothers to watch over you. Remember Heavenly Father did answer your prayer---He is sending a baby to your house. Maybe by the time your new little brother doesn't want to play house with you, you will have a sister.

These are exciting times!!!! :)

Love, Grandma

Shocked too! Poor Kaylea. If nothing else, she'll have the opportunity to be best friends with 3 sis-in-laws, if she chooses later in life. So happy for your family!

I'm soo excited for you! I'm the same way though, I wanted B to be a sister for Kam, but they do great together and couldn't imagine it any other way. I do hope we get asister for her someday though. My cousin Holly had 2 boysand a girl and didn't find out with her last one til she delivered and it's a boy. She LOVES how much girl one on one time she gets to spend with her little girl though. It'll be fantastic! I'm soo excited for you. Is it Max? I LOVE Max. That's my nephew's name.

I am actually really surprised as well! Looks like you are doing it the Simas way..... boy - girl - boy & ANOTHER BOY!!! Now you will have to try for #5 baby girl. Tell Kaylea, Taylor was sad when Cannon was a boy & to hold tight cuz that baby sister will be coming - just not this time. Heavenly Father knows the right order for each family (i know you know that) and it all works out for the best. Congratulations on that sweet baby boy - MAX?!? We are so excited for you!
Love you all - XOXO

I am practically in tears for your family ~ okay now I AM in tears!! I am so very happy for your family. It doesn't matter what the gender is, as long as you have a special someone to join your family. And I bet there was a lineup waiting to enter into your family ~ you are all such wonderful individuals that make up one awesome Campbell team. And now, the boys can play two-on-two, while you and Kaylea cheer them on! ;) {Or make it three-on-three... you love to have fun, too.} Best wishes for a smooth delivery in May. Please let me know if you ever need anything!!

I thought it was a boy...I didn't say it because it seemed everyone was hoping for a girl! Kaylea will love that little guy as much as she would any sister. My girls can't get enough of their little brother, even though they hoped for another sister! Madeline often says "Mom, I am soo glad Heavenly Father sent us a little brother, I can't imagine not having him here". I am very excited for your family! Kaylea may not realize it yet, but being the only girl has major benefits!! ;) Congratulations!!

3 boys, get ready for crazy...or that could just be me and my house. Who knows. I'm excited for you guys and that everything is looking good. Now its gonna be all talk about the name. Hope the pregnancy is going well...I have always been bad about envisioning the future but I remember you talking about wanting your oldest to be a boy because you always would have liked a big brother. I know being only girl sibling in our house has its advantages. She's so sweet to want a little sister.

Yay boys! Isn't it amazing that we think we know what we want and yet the Lord always knows better? I felt that way when i found out I was preg. with Olivia. But, now I can't picture anything different. What a wonderful blessing for your precious family! Good job having a great attitude and Kaylea will come around, especially after watching you and then seeing this little guy in May.

I know that even though they are different (in sooo many ways), I have a very special connection with my brothers. I hope she develops one with hers as well! Hang in there, little miss...and you, too, Audra!
