Boarding The Boat

*Day 2 Continued...
~So after eating the most yummy egg croissant sandwich & fresh squeezed orange juice of my life, & visiting the Anne Frank house, we attempted to find the nearby ward so we could attend church. We had directions & everything, but between the confused taxi drivers & museum workers who tried but couldn't help us, we failed at our attempt. What a shocker...people in Amsterdam don't where the Mormon Church is. Although surprisingly when we said we needed help finding The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints- she said...."Oh the Mormons?" The Anne Frank museum ladies tried so hard to help us, it broke my heart. One of my favorite things to do is to visit wards across the World. It is the coolest thing EVER to see totally different cultures believing what you do, singing the same hymns we do but in their own language & yet feeling the spirit so strongly. We would've LOVED to have gone to the ward that day, but it just didn't work out.
We gathered our stuff from the hotel...
(-just a pic to show that yes we are dorks.)
& then we walked to the dock where we boarded our Boat.
This was the ship S.S. Antoinette's maiden voyage & we were the first people to ever stay in Room 429 -a Balcony!  ~It was awesome.
{Backstory:} Tim had booked a certain number of Uniworld River Cruises in a certain time-frame & was given this cruise for FREE!- Being far along pregnant in Europe was not ideal, but how do I give up FREE. *REMEMBER last time I was pregnant and this happened!?...not this time!-pregnant or not! (People sure commented a lot more back in these days.) Luckily this cruise line was not as strict about pregnancy & I had my doc write a note for the airlines. I barely made it happen-but we pulled it off.
This was a much needed Vacation & we were going to soak it all in!
My handsome husband having a moment...
We ended the evening with sending emails to our kids & having our special evening Dinner. It was a good day but we were ready to get to SLEEP again!

SS Antoinette, how classy?! That bed looks like heaven! The boat looks like it's from the future...but I wouldn't mind having a moment as well...
